Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
It has a platinum case surrounded by diamonds and then a mixture of brilliant cut diamonds to the shoulders and bracelet which simply glides around the wrist, very much of the Art Deco era in design.
As you would expect from Vertex the diamonds are bright, crisp and evenly matched and has the total weight is approximately 3cts, the sparkle they generate is just stunning and it is heavy.
It fits a maximum wrist size of 6.5 inches or 16.5cms and the case is 15mm in diameter not including the winding crown.
It comes with a new presentation box.
It is quite stunning with a white dial which is in superb condition. A new glass has been fitted and it has been cleaned and polished so it is absolutely pristine.
The 17 jewel movement is an absolute gem, sparkling clean and in like new condition, this is a movement from the golden age of Swiss watchmaking.
As you would expect from Vertex the watch is fully marked on the dial and movement and this is the most perfect example we have ever come across.
Vertex are one of the most exclusive makers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance which resonates class, truly a piece of jewellery which will never date.
Overall this watch is in beautiful condition and looks as if it was hardly ever worn, it would certainly make a perfect gift for any lady.
