Description

A regal Georgian ring with a trio of glittering almandine garnets and tiny seed pearls mounted above a gallery adorned with decorative scrollwork in 18-carat gold.

The ring is in good solid antique condition. The back of the shank appears to have been replaced and a tiny end of one of the scrolls has worn off. The garnets have a little surface pitting, as you would expect to see in a ring of this age; the middle stone is a little smaller than the setting and may be a well matched historic replacement. Under magnification there is some glue visible around the edges of the pearls. All the stones are firmly set in their mounts. We detail every imperfection in the interests of honesty but on the finger the ring is beautiful and impressive with fantastic glowing stones!
