Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
This dish topped stool retains the original hand chamfered legs and is a very rare surviving piece of truly vernacular furniture - a simple working piece of primitive form almost certainly used as a milking parlour stool.
There is some evidence of worm, long since dead and not structural or significant.
Completely usable and very eye catching.
Dimensions are:
17 inches in diameter at feet, 13.5 inches in diameter at seat and 12.5 inches high.
