We have even known people to use them upstairs in a bedroom when they have a large amount of wall space to fill.There is very little damage to speak of, certainly nothing visually unappealing, or which causes a structural problem and although the brass handles are replacements they look more than acceptable and actually sit very nicely on the piece indeed. They have clearly been in situ for a very long time indeed.
