A wonderful quality and very complete Victorian walnut cased compendium of games.The case is made of mahogany with beautiful, almost rich plum pudding burr walnut veneer, with ebony base and fine ebony embellishments to the edges and trays. All the polish is original, un-restored and perfect.The compendium contains a complete set of draughts, a boxwood and ebony chess set, a cribbage board, two sets of dominoes, Bezique markers, three complete sets of Bezigue cards, various dice, counters, and a Steeplechase horse racing game.The folding board have chess on one side, backgammon on the reverse and opens up to form a steeplechase track.
