Beechmount Antiques has dated this Walter Scott Skeleton Clock to the 19th Century.
Sir Walter Scott and his dog Maida are beautifully cast and sit below the central arch.

A finely finished four-piece brass frame with five pillars houses a quality chain driven fusee movement with six spoke wheels and pull repeat. It has a zinc bob pendulum on a wood rod and strikes the hours on a coiled gong. The newly re-silvered and pierced chapter ring has shield shaped roman numerals providing a pleasing contrast to the brass clock frame.
A beautiful and unusual timepiece.
All are clocks are offered with a twelve-month guarantee.
