Beechmount Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Striking the hours on a coiled gong and passing half hours on the centrally mounted bell. To the rear is a cylindrical zinc bob pendulum suspended on a wooden rod and strike/speed adjustment. Whilst to the front the large silver chapter ring with Roman numerals measures 20cm in diameter and provides a pleasing contrast to the brass clock frame. The clock stands on a stepped white marble base with matching bun feet.
