Here we have a wonderful Norwegian blanket chest or toybox dated 1912. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. The top has a rich waxed finish with traces of the wonderful old paint. The top has two planks and can easily be sat on as a hall or window seat. The sides are beautifully painted with a wavy design and retain the original handles. The front is delicious with stunning decoration and the original painted date of 1912. The whole sits on the original plainth base. There are good internal proportions with original hinges and a candle or herb box. A super chest inj great retail condition ready for your home. The diemnsions are approx 116 cm wide 65 cm high 68 cm deep.
