A wonderfully elegant and high quality Georgian winged library or desk chair with a solid mahogany frame and retaining its original brass casters.

The chair has been newly upholstered in heavyweight ‘Escape Shantaung’ old gold upholstery fabric by Philip Kaufmann – an extremely expensive and thickly woven fabric with a high percentage of silk which gives it a wonderful sheen, long life and a high martindale.

The chair frame is original, solid and sound and has beautiful lines and proportions.

Very well padded and of a good size, the chair is supremely comfortable.

The seat is wide and deep and the back has a gentle supportive rake.

Such a beautiful chair made by skilled hands in c. 1760 and of beautifully linear, elegant and eye catching form.
