I have had several of these magnifying glasses with Mother of Pearl handles but it is rare to find one in richly coloured Abalone shell like this one.

Beautiful quality with a screwed construction and having been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory, dating to c.1890/1900.

A wonderful desk accessory in superb condition measuring 7 1/4" x 3" x 1/2".
