This is a fine quality antique English Queen Anne style burr walnut nest of coffee tables, comprising three tables, with a serpentine design and inset glass tops, circa 1920, in excellent original condition. They are both practical and decorative coffee tables for any room in the house. ...t in use. The tops are decorated with burr walnut mirror-matched timers on a solid frame, with the French polish finish protected by glass inset tops. The frame is decorated with a floral leaf carved moulding in a serpentine shape, with a shaped frieze below on all sides. The walnut nest of coffee tables is supported by cabriole legs, incorporating acanthus leaf carvings at the knee, terminating on pad feet.
Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique English Queen Anne style burr walnut nest of coffee tables, comprising three tables, with a serpentine design and inset glass tops, circa 1920, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading wooden edges and glass surfaces but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The walnut tables have been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. There are no stains or watermarks to the walnut tops. There are no missing timbers are carvings to the moulding. The legs are solid, with no breaks. This walnut nest of tables is solid in joint, does not wobble and is ready for use.
