19th Century Bridgewater Pattern Armchair In The Style Of Howard & Sons.

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Culvertons

This distinctive Bridgewater pattern armchair in the style of Howard & Sons has come into stock from a private estate. Its frame is firm with no undue movement. The traditional horsehair feels in good re-useable condition, apart from the nicely stitched but worn top cover. The existing upholstery is firm, comfortable, and supportive and only requires a small amount of remedial work and a little extra dressing before it can be recovered. Reusing much of the existing upholstery will help to minimise the cost of refurbishing this antique Howard-style armchair. The original brown porcelain wheel castors that support the turned mahogany front and swept-back legs are also in good order. Overall, it is a good period example of a much sought-after armchair - Culvertons can undertake the restoration and re-upholstery of this chair on your behalf, please contact us for more information.
