Antique Victorian Ornate Pattern Sterling Silver Cigarette Case

Description

Here is a wonderful ornate Victorian cigarette case with beautiful floral scrolling. an empty cartouche. It is dated to 1893 and was made in Birmingham by the silversmith HHF.

It is in fantastic conditon considering it is 130 years old. The casesopens and closes with a push of the latch and it has no issues. There are no missing parts or dents. It has a lovely curve to it and fits snuggly into the palm of a hand or a trouser/ jacket pocket. Once inside, we can see it has a gilt lining with a singele elastic retainer. The inside is in good condition but has some wear and marks as you would expect. The retainer still works but the elastic is a little loose and has signs of wear. There is a slight gap on one side when the case is closed.

It weighs approximately 106,4g
