Description

An antique colonial hardwood folding frame two tier tray table c1900. This is most likely made of a Chinese hardwood as a colonial or export piece. It has a folding frame carved as bamboo which holds a small hardwood tray below and a large hardwood tray on the top. Both trays are solid hardwood and have ornately carved and pierced rims. The large tray has an old butterfly repair with some old repairs to the rim. These repairs seem to enhance the age of the item. The folding frame and small tray have no damage. The table components are beautifully made. Both the frame and trays have a deep rich colour and patina.
