Regency Mahogany Work Table

19th century
Description

A lovely example of a small mahogany work table dating from the early to mid 19th Century. It stands on a central column with quatrefoil base and bun feet with castors below. It has a single drawer with its original turned knobs and each corner of the table has small turned finials below. The drawer comes with a working key.

The table has a wonderful rich colour and flame mahogany grain. It is beautifully finished on all four sides, making it suitable as a centre table or side table.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some minor signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks and some old surface scratches on the top (see photo) but nothing untoward and it has a lovely patina. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

The best description comes from the photographs so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.

Archival Detail
Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
