Large Walnut Open Bookcase, Carved with Lion Caryatid and Ancient Gods

This is a large piece with superb quality carvings. At the bottom, the bookcase is supported at each side by a Caryatid Lion, these are set on plinths supported by lions mask feet. The upper part of the bookcase is divided with 4 superb carvings of mythical Gods, each one is different to the next and these support the large carved cornice

The quality of the carving is quite astonishing, the mains of the lions is carved in the finest detail and the Gods have fearsome faces

The bookcase has 2 adjustable shelved and a planked back, it comes into pieces for transportation so despite its size should is easy to move.

The Bookcase is in very good condition, it is 87” wide, 75” high and 22” deep
