Large Single Draw Telescope with Stand and Case

Description

Made by the Whyte & Thomson Co of Glasgow (1872-1924) in the last quarter of the 19th Century this very large single draw telescope for terrestrial or astronomical observation is in excellent condition.

It is equipped with a sliding eye shutter, brass lens cap, sturdy hardwood and brass tripod stand and leather carrying case.

Telescope - closed - 47" (119.5cm), open - 56.5" (143.5cm)

Diameter - 3.75" (9.5cm)

Case - 47.5" x 4" (120.5 x 10cm)

Tripod - Max Height Standing 46" (117cm), Cradle - 15" (38cm)
