Victorian Button Back Arm Chair in the Manner of Howard and Sons C. 1870

Newly upholstered in a heavyweight fabric of William Morris design, this beautiful and very comfortable 19th century arm chair has well turned mahogany front legs and sabre mahogany back legs all fitted with original solid brass large casters.

The seat is wide, low and long, very much like a Howard chair and both seat and button back are very well padded. it is an extremely comfortable chair, you feel as though you could fall asleep within a few minutes of sitting down, and the chair has a beautiful symmetry and proportion.

This high quality chair, heavy and sturdy chair dates from c. 1870 and has been professionally upholstered by a local company.

Completely ready for use, it would make a lovely library or fireside chair.
