Antique 19th Century French Walnut Double Bed Stead C1890

Antique Late 19TH Century French Walnut Double Bedstead and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality walnut it has a carved and moulded serpentine shaped top to the headboard with carved cartouche to the centre and above a large moulded panel. The footboard again with carved and serpentine shaped footboard and with smaller carved cartouche to the centre above a moulded panel with carved floral panel to the centre and over a moulded serpentine shaped skirt with carved panel to the centre. It is raised on carved cabriole legs and has its original carved and shaped side rails.

Please note that a double divan base and mattress would fit inside the bed frame.

Fitted slats could also be made for a mattress to sit on top please enquire.
