Large Antique Victorian Sea Captain's Chest Circa 1893

Description

A wonderful large all original 19th Century sea captain's chest with brass corner sections and decorative geometric moulded lozenge front.

The original working lock is in place, marked Whitaker of Wolverhampton and dated 1893.

The locking lid opens to a remarkably clean interior fitted with two sectional trays. With original rope twist handles in place, the chest stands on a plinth base with sled feet.

Excellent original condition with some lovely aged colour and patina. Supplied with one original working key.
