Antique Silver Goblet Hallmarked 1796 Robert & David Hennell A/f

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

An impressive Georgian silver goblet in highly polished silver. The goblet has a pedestal base with ribbed detailing and is fully hallmarked with marks for the London Assay Office, date 1796 and respected silversmiths Robert & David Hennell.

There is an old repair underneath the rim shown in the pictures, which is barely apparent on the exterior. One 5mm scratch is visible and there are some very fine surface marks apparent only up close, mentioned only for accuracy, but this goblet is really in impressive condition for George Third silverware.

(Please note: due to the highly reflective surface of the goblet it has been hard to photograph to best effect. Kindly ignore any shapes reflected onto the silver).

Measurements: Height 15.8 cm Diameters: rim 9 cm, base: 8.1 cm Weight 207g
