Chinese Carved Camphor Wood Trunk

A beautiful Chinese carved camphor wood trunk or chest. The antique camphor wood trunk has exquisite carved detail throughout, depicting scenes of oriental life. The camphor wood trunk has a hinged lid to the top, which opens to reveal a spacious interior, along with a pleasing camphor wood aroma. There are indented carved handles to either side that are integrated into the design for a sleek look. Raised on carved bracket feet. A rather pleasing example, with beautiful carvings throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In excellent antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks to the corners (pictured), also fading throughout, however this adds to its charm. The antique carved camphor wood trunk remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a good example of its kind.
