Description

A fine well modelled alabaster sculpture of a young lovers. The young man, is barefoot with his trouser hems rolled up, his jacket casually draped across his shoulders wearing a hat. He playfully covers the maiden’s eyes, she gently touches his hand and smiles as if knowing who it is. She is wearing a patterned dress with a corset, and is carrying a wheat sheaf in her skirt, and a sickle in the other hand, and is also barefoot.

A really beautiful, fine sculpture, exquisite detail in the carving.
