Description

A superb mid 19th century French bijouterie cabinet of generous proportions. In the Directoire fashion , very well constructed in mahogany and rosewood and fitted with brass mounts and moldings throughout. The top section with a pair of glazed doors which open to access a shelved interior with a mirror back. The base section with a lift up, hinged lid which opens to access a display area with lined interior (original lining material in-situ but with marks/staines). All standing on elegant square tapering legs, terminating in brass caps and united by an under-tier. Offered for sale in excellent condition. Original locks and keys all present and working. Splits into 2 sections for ease of installation.
