Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The top is a single board of elm set in a deeply framed border.

The whole with original hand adzed timbers.
The table is very heavy and robust, with some losses, marks and bruises. A section of the rear lower bar of the rear frieze has been professionally replaced but is extremely well blended and difficult to identify even on close inspection, otherwise the table is completely original with much of the original lacquer still present.

A truly stunning centre table, narrow enough for a hallway, very tactile and characterful.
Late 18th Century/early 19th Century.
Dimensions are:
101 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 35 inches high.
