Rosewood and hallmarked solid silver walking stick or cane with a fabulous amethyst sphere pommel.
 
The colour and pattern in the pommel is exceptional as you can see in the pictures. The shaft is beautiful and as you can see is really highlighted in sun light.
 
The shaft is well sized in width and length so will support a good weight.
 
The silver was assayed in Birmingham as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1913 and makers mark for William Hutton & Sons Ltd, Hanley Street, Birmingham so you know it's great quality.
 
Trumpet shaped silver collar that the pommel sits into. Plain with no engraving
 
It measures 88.5 cm 34 7/8 inches in length, the pommel is 4.3 cm 1 11/16 inches wide.
 
The ferrule is made of brass and steel.
 
It's in excellent condition with only minor signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age.
 
Some surface marks to the silver as shown but no holes or splits.
 
The shaft is excellent with no breaks or repairs.
