Mike Melody Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The inlay is cut brass favoured during the early part of the 19th century.
It measures 37cms long 27cms h and 18cms d.
It dates around 1830 ,could be earlier.
The condition is superb beautifully looked after and showing very little wear and tear.
Probably made for an important home it is missing its mixing bowl but they are easily obtained.
The mixing bowl was for mixing ceylon(sri lanka and indian teas) or china tea.
In all a superb tea caddy and offered at our normal.realistic price .
