Magnificent Set Fruit Knives & Forks by Royal Silversmith, Joseph Rodgers

Description

A stunning and complete set of Fruit or Desert Knives and Forks, all with bright iridescent Mother of Pearl shell handles.

The knife blades and forks are made from Electro-Plate Nickel Silver, beautifully decorated with intricate engraving Nickel and each clearly marked Rodgers. The ferrules joining them to the handles are sterling silver, each hallmarked for Sheffield 1915.

The set sits in it's original presentation box made from Mahogany lined in Velvet with the lid being lined in silk, gold stamped " Joseph Rodgers & Son, Cutler's To Her Majesty, 6 Norfolk Street, Sheffield".

All in excellent condition, with the knives measuring 8" and the forks, 7". The box measures 14 1/2" x 10".
