Alabaster Sculpture of a Nymph Wearing a Robe , Italian, C. 1920
A very beautiful and elegant sculpture of a nymph, she is wearing a robe with flowers in her hair and appears to be tip-toeing, with both hands to her ears as if trying to listen. The carving on this sculpture is exquisite, especially her face and hands. Her robe is a slightly darker shade of alabaster, again the carving in the folds of the drapery is fabulous. Artist unknown.
