A Fine Quality Mid 19th Century Pierced Gilded Clock in the Manner of Thomas Cole

Description

A fine quality mid 19th century pierced gilded Strut Clock in the manner of Thomas Cole. Enamelled dial with Roman numerals, blued-steel spade hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. The pierced gilt-brass oval case features an engine turned mask surrounded by an etched foliate border encased behind bevelled glass. The outer frame incorporates an ornate stand with piercing, dots and scrolling leaves and rosettes. Complete with key.

Condition: Dial, bevelled glass and case all in excellent undamaged condtion. Movement is 36 hour and has slow/fast adjuster behind hinged swing/tab. Sold in full working order, with 1 year guarantee.

Dimensions: h: 5 inches (13 cm); w: 3.75 inches (9.5 cm); d: 2.75 inches (7 cm) with strut out.
