Description

A wonderful early 18th century burr walnut chest on chest of good proportions. Very well constructed in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. Having a flared cornice above an arrangement of five drawers in the top, each with herringbone inlay and banded edges, flanked by canted corners. The bottom chest is complete with a further four drawers, canted corners and all standing on bracket feet. The narrow top drawer of the bottom section is compartmentalised. With original "front to back" pine drawer linings. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops to a very high standard. Now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a wonderful colour and patina. Splits into two sections fro ease of installation.
