Description

1940s Vertex Revue pocket watch for British Rail.

The watch has a good clean Swiss movement, signed Vertex Revue, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the logo of G Thommen, owner of the brand name Vertex Revue.

The movement is protected by an inner cover which a little scratching.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific manufacturer of watch cases and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in good condition. The back of the watch has a long service inscription from British Rail Western Region.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
