A George V period, military / civil service mahogany kneehole desk, Circa 1930. Rectangular top with green inset. Flanking the kneehole are a pair of twin drawers, each with brass cup handles, stamped G.R. with crown symbol. The right side drawers with locks. All raised on square tapering legs.
These desks were issued to military bases and civil service offices. This particular desk was acquired from the York area so likely came from one of the local military sites.
A charming desk, well presented, and in very good working condition.

This desk measures approximately 76.5 cm (30'') tall, 152.5 cm (60'') wide, and 83.5 cm (32.75'') deep. The kneehole measures 53.25 cm (21'') tall and 67.5 cm (26.5'') wide.
