Description

This exquisite Victorian silver and blue agate "trowel" bookmark is dated Birmingham 1895 and was made by the prolific Adie & Lovekin. The engraved silver handle inlaid with rare blue-grey agate. The blade fully hallmarked.

Hallmarks:

AL&L for Adie & Lovekin.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "v" for 1895.

Dimensions:

Length: 8.5cm / 3.3 inches.

Maximum width: 2.5cm / 1 inch.

Condition:

Very good.
