Description

Early 20th century Burmese hand carved side table

An exceptionally well carved early 20th century example of a Burmese table. Detailed on the surface with a central three headed god like figure surrounded by floral and geometric shapes and forms. The style of this table is typical of the early 20th century Burmese furniture making style, all done by freehand carving, this is resent in that the top is not perfectly oval.

Size: Height 21” x Width 28” x Depth 16”

1. Worn surface area.

2. Patina and staining of colour.

3. Worn wooden area.

4. The table stands firm without breaks.

This item is untouched in form, it is firmly in place and secure to display and use functionally.
