Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The necklace hallmarked 18ct London ‘import’ and with an Italian makers mark. It is not possible to know the date that the necklace was made but these colours were adopted by the Suffragettes and by those who supported the movement and became the symbolic colours of the cause to gain women the Vote across Europe and it is possible that the necklace is early 20th century but may equally be a little later than this.
The stones with lots of fire and bright reflection in the gemstones and the quality of the settings and chain are really superb.
In excellent original condition.
