Arita porcelain ewer, Japan, c. 1690, Genroku Period. The ewer, painted in underglaze blue, with a scene of a figure, in a garden setting. The neck painted with scrolling foliage, beneath the nipped spout.

The loop handle, pierced, and painted with karakusa scroll.

Height – 21 cm, 8 1/4”.

Width- 12.7 cm, 5”.

Depth – 10.5 cm, 4 1/8”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
