Antique Longcase Clock by Thomas Worsfold of Dorking

Description

An excellent late 18th century oak longcase clock.

The 8 day duration 5 pillar movement striking the hours on a bell. The 12" arched brass dial with silvered brass chapter ring & showing both seconds & date on the engraved & silvered centre. Gilt brass spandrels to each corner & the makers name on a cartouche to the arch.

The oak case with long trunk door & plain base with double shaped plinth. The hood with brass capped angle pillars & broken arch top with cresting & three brass finials. Height: 7' 11"
