Art Deco Cut Glass Silver Plated Drinks Pitcher, Karl Palda, C1930

1920 - 1940
Description

We've not come across one of these before by Palda so we were delighted to have found this one. The design as you would expect is great and very indicative of this era. Anyone building up a Deco collection for their cocktail cabinet would love this piece and of course we're hitting that time of year where it should get some good use! It features thick heavy cut glass body with etched and enamelled designs across the whole piece. The handle, collar and strainer are silver plated and in lovely condition. The inside of the pitcher is a suspended glass tube which is used to keep the drink cool by holding ice. Very unusual piece and functional too, definitely won't disappoint. Great size if you want to use it rather than just keep as display. Enamel work is also in excellent condition, with just some surface scratches to the base.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
