Antique French Marble Top Bombe Commode

Description

An absolutely stunning antique French marble top bombe chest of drawers / commode, dating from around the 1890-1910 period.

This is of outstanding quality, it is large and impressive with lots of storage space in the two deep drawers. It is made from a mixture of elm, rosewood & kingwood, with fantastic gilt bronze mounts of the highest quality. The original marble top is a beautiful mix of purple and white, there looks to have been a historical repair which has been so well done it is pretty much invisible.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

Depth – 23 inches , 58 cm

Height – 34 inches , 86 cm
