Pair of Antique Swedish Satin Birch Armchairs

Description

A gorgeous pair of antique Swedish satin birch armchairs. They were recently imported from Sweden, they date from around the 1890-1910 period.

The quality is outstanding and they are very comfortable. The satin birch frames are beautifully panelled on the sides and backs, they look amazing from all angles. There is fine carving throughout, with claw and ball feet, shell knees and acanthus leaf scrolled armrests. The satin birch has a stunning colour tone and wonderful grain patterns.

We have had these fully restored, the frames have been re-polished and re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric, the condition is excellent for their age.

Depth – 32 inches , 82 cm

Height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Seat height – 16 inches , 41 cm
