Description

Pair of mahogany Gainsborough chairs

This Pair of mahogany Gainsborough chairs were made circa 1930, during the reign of King George V.

The quality mahogany frame with the down swept arms at the front with the delicate carved patera to the front of the armrest.

Each chair has the Chippendale moulded square front leg with the fretted corner brackets, the legs joined by stretchers. The open arms with the padded arm rest.

The chairs are covered in fine leather upholstery and secured by brass studding.

Having a pair of these chairs gives you plenty of options, whether you place them in a library or drawing room, or each side of a partner’s desk.
