~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A stunning original antique French gilt bronze Cartel wall clock by Japy Frères.
To the top, a bird gently lands in front of a curved shell. Below the dial is a fretted panel which allows a glimpse of the pendulum swinging.

The large dial is enamel on copper with blue lettering, It has an outside minute ring and original fretted gilt brass hands. The bezel is fitted with convex glass.
The French movement is by Japy Frères and has the makers mark on the backplate. It is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is most likely original although the serial number is slightly different to that of the movement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just a slight chip above the 12 o'clock that cant be seen with the bezel closed. The dial also has a few marks. The original glass has some light scratches.
