This bed fits a standard UK double size mattress (4ft 6� wide by 6ft 3� long), therefore can be used with a new modern mattress. The tall headboard is decorated with stunning mirror-matched burr walnut timbers, bordered by darker moulded burr walnut timbers. The bow shaped footboard matches the design of the headboard, with the exception of a lovely break-front central column. The headboard and footboard boast superb burr walnut timbers, with excellent grain configuration and detail. The headboard and footboard are united by the original Roberts & Co. of Willenhall steel angle irons, secured in place by four original threaded bots. The Art Deco burr walnut bed comes with a set of sturdy wooden slats as seen in the pictures.
