Antique Gonçalo Alves Leather Stool Ottoman Window Seat 19th C

Description

A Victorian Gonçalo Alves ottoman, the upholstered lifting lid over a decorative panelled base, and raised on bun feet, Circa 1880 in date.

The ottoman / window seat / hall seat / stool / canterbury with a striking top that has been reupholstered with a sumptuous Italian tan leather by Moore & Giles, fitted with brass studs, above a panelled base with four spiral columns and decorated with floral marquetry on all sides.

The lid opens on brass hinges to reveal a large storage compartment with a three division interior which is also ideal fro magazines and newspapers.

Condition:

In really excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, waxed and reupholstered in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
