Henry John Sylvester Stannard RBA 1870-1951.Landscape painter and garden painter.Studied South Kensington School of Art.Son of Henry John Stannard and father of Theresa Stannard.Lived Bedford and Flitwick,Bedfordshire also St Albans and Buckden,Hunts.Exhibited principally at RBA where he showed 70 works and RA,35 works.Well known for his charming cottage scenes this good sized example is housed in its original frame but can be reframed in a modern frame if required at a modest additional cost. ‘ His Pet Rabbit’ signed watercolour; image size 36x52cms; framed size 59x75 cms
