Large Japanese Ceramic Okimono Of Kannon ( Guan-yin)

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this most charming Meiji Period 1868-1912 ceramic okimono depicting the Goddess Kannon, ( Kwannon ) the most serene figure stands clutching a basket containing a large fish, she is dressed in a flowing gown and head dress each decorated with stylised clouds in relief upon a stippled grey ground, the sleeves and head dress linings further decorated in green and gilt, her chest adorned with an elaborate necklace, a most charming Meiji Period okimono. The Goddess Kannon Bodhisattva is intended to bring a feeling of peace and solemn calmness to your home .

Fine condition with some age related wear to the gilding.
