Youngs Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The statue is superbly carved and has a lovely untouched surface patina. The figure does require restoration, or can be left as it is. The losses include an arm, fingers off the existing hand, though there are some present but not attached, the thin base of the statue has losses, which sits on the heavy moulded base, there are also surface scratches etc commensurate with age. Overall she is a fantastic sculpture and a good size.
