Royal Worcester Figure ‘Wales’, James Hadley, D. 1902.

Description

Royal Worcester porcelain figure, ‘Wales’, dated 1902. From the ‘Countries of the World’ series, modelled by James Hadley, as a young girl wearing traditional Welsh costume. She stand upon a canted square base, before a pillar with the incised script signature Hadley.

Decorated in blush ivory skin tones, her dress in enamels, heightened in gilt.

Green printed factory mark, date code for 1902, and model number ‘1875’ to the underside of the base.

Height – 17.3 cm, 6 7/8”.

Width – 6.5 cm, 2 1/2”.

Depth – 7.5 cm, 2 7/8”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
