Antique 18th Century Period Oak Press C1780

Antique 18th Century Period Oak Press and dating from around the time of George 111 c1780. Constructed from quality oak it has a moulded cornice top with Greek Key moulding and cross banded frieze with fine stringing. This is above two fielded panelled doors and to each side there are reeded architectural type columns. Internally there are two fixed shelves. The base has a moulded edge above two short drawers over three long drawers all of which are pine lined with original brass handles. It is raised on bracket feet joined by a shaped frieze. The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

MEASURES: 83” HIGH X 20” DEEP X 44” WIDE

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
